Bottega Veneta is joining forces with fragrance guru Coty Inc. to create the luxury label’s very first. No word yet on when the sure-to-be gorgeous flaçons (woven leather cases, anyone?) will hit shelves, but we’re already dreaming up possible campaignistas…

The oh-so-hot House of Givenchy have released their usual holiday fragrance sets with a covetable, gothic-chic twist this year, inspired by Ricardo Tisci’s Fall/Winter runway collection. Our favourite is by far their newest scent, Ange ou Demon Le Secret, which perfectly plays off this holiday season’s naughty or nice theme. Uma Thurman stars as the face of the seductive spritz––a light floral with notes of lemon and cranberry, basenotes of sensual patchouli and blond wood, and a jasmine “heart”. Ange ou Demon Le Secret Holiday Set, $90. Available across Canada at The Bay.

Burberry Prorsum A/W 09
Some of our favourite signature fragrances have come from our treasured house of Burberry––just one spritz of the original Burberry Classic juice or the limited-edition Burberry Brit Red takes us on a stroll down memory lane. Which is why we’re pleased as punch to hear that Parfums SA, the brand’s beauty licensee, will be developing a full Burberry cosmetics line come July. The collection will apparently include about 100 items for eyes, lips, and skin. It’s a smooth move from the Brit brand considering WWD recently reported that three of the top five global fragrance brands––including Chanel, Dior, and Armani––can partly attribute their mega-success in the beauty industry to having cosmetics lines, which helps to create brand synergy that beauty junkies like you and I flip for.

The glamazon diva that is Miss Beyoncé just signed on the dotted line with fragrance giant Coty who will launch B’s personalized scent early next year. While we’re definitely not surprised by the announcement (only that she hasn’t added a perfume flask to her mantle of achievements before now) we’re slightly curious about which leading lady might take her place as the face of her current campaign, Emporio Armani Diamonds. If we were the betting type, we might put our money on a certain Foxy seductress who just replaced Victoria Beckham as the face––and body––of Emporio Armani underwear.
